This course was quite insightful. Technology integration in teaching and learning is one of the pillars of the new Primary Curriculum Rewrite. And so, I am very happy that such a course is offered so that educators can become more efficient in the effective use of technology in instruction and education related purposes. I even saw many ways in which this course has already enhanced my ability in- and outside of the school setting. The resources which were shared are also aligned with the theories of multiple intelligences, different learning rates, abilities and styles, as well as Bruner's active and constructive learning theory, and Vygotsky's social interaction theory. The integration of media and technology definitely facilitates differentiated instruction.
Furthermore, the one-on-one attention received during the lab sessions were welcomed. I admit that some of the functions with the programmes/applications were challenging to catch on. However, the lecturer was patient and competent in the delivery. A team spirit was also developed among the class members during hands-on lab activities. There was a high level of interaction between peers as we shared ideas, knowledge and even computers at times to assist each other. This created a positive learning environment and ensured that no one was left behind.
