Photostory
Title: Values and Character Development
Educational/Instructional Purpose: Photostories enable us to use modern digital technology to tell stories. The children are engaged through a multi-sensory approach through the simultaneous use of digital photos, a recorded narration, and music to create a video. A photostory can be used as a virtual field trip, a discovery tool or a resource which gives students an opportunity to experience something without actually being there. It benefits both visual and auditory learners as well as develops students’ multiple intelligences. Students may also create their own digital stories for topic of interest or in any subject area.
With photostory, students will be engaged in:

Comic Strip
Title: Common Activities Associated With Dry Season - Bush Fires
Educational/Instructional Purpose:
This use of a comic strip is a fun and interesting way to engage students' interest in the content to be learnt. The creation of comic strips involves animating the content so that students are engaged through reading and visualizing. Comic strips use images and text to represent ideas, as illustrating content along with reading may be easier for some students to process, interpret and recall. The teacher can use this comic strip to introduce the topic - Bush Fires, whereby students ca be engaged in brainstorming ideas and discussing issues. Also, the students can extend the comic strips through writing.
